Breakfast Hero, Dinner Hero ‘Speed-Scratch’ Meal Solutions

Revolution Foods, an Oakland, Calif.-based provider of healthful school meals, has entered the grocery aisle with Dinner Hero and Breakfast Hero, ‘speed-scratch’ meal solutions that enable parents to prepare and serve hot, chef-crated meals for breakfast and dinner without sacrificing nutrition. Dinner Hero combines whole grains, custom spice blends and sauces with easy-to-follow recipes, and contains 42 to 49 grams of whole grains per serving (brown rice and quinoa blend or brown rice and bamboo rice) with no artificial colors or flavors. Flavors include Coconut Curry, Sesame Garlic, Smoky Tomato Sausage and Fiesta Taco. Meanwhile, Breakfast Hero is a “no mix, no mess” thaw-and-pour pancake batter that requires no added water or mixing, containing whole milk as the first ingredients and real eggs. Multigrain and Chocolate Multigrain varieties have 12 to 14 grams of whole grains, and all flavors provide six grams of protein per serving, and contains no artificial colors or flavors. The mix makes 15 pancakes and, once thawed, lasts 10 days. The line also includes an Original variety. SRPs are $3.99 for Breakfast Hero and $4.99 to $5.99 for Dinner Hero.
